Afterthoughts: This Past Month
Half of 2025 is over, and so much has been happening that it's hard to remember everything. That's why I keep this journal, to help me remember. On to the update.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Sunday, June, 1, I asked Ilsa for details for our possible lunch on Tuesday since last week, but I haven't heard from her on the subject. I'm not one to press people, so if she doesn't say anything by tomorrow I'll do something else. I already have that something else lined up. But first my doctors appointment.
The original plan, not plan, was for me to head out to Clairmont to meet up with her. She said we could walk around town, since it is a nice town. Then we could go to Bullwinkle's and eat and play miniature golf. But, I haven't heard any details from her in a couple of weeks, and she hasn't brought it up. Let's see what happens.
I upload this journal online once a month. When I updated the welcome page of this website I noticed that I hadn't been posting to Diaryland. That's because the website had a meltdown for a few weeks and I couldn't post to it. So, it was out of sight out of mind. I posted the stuff from the last few weeks and we'll see how long it stays stable. But now I have to get used to posting there again.
trying a new tea
I went to Jon's market to get some stuff that I can't find at the Pavilions. I found a new tea there that I figured I would try out. I'm always looking to try different teas. Hope this is good.
I got up from a nap around 6pm. I went to the bathroom and found my aunt in the kitchen. She asked if we were going to eat dinner, and I said yes. She asked if I was going to pick something up and I said that I wasn't married to the idea. Then she hands me $20 bill and says to get something to eat. I tell her that we have food at home, unless she wants something. She then tells me to get a burger from McDonald's. Ah, no thanks. But she wouldn't let it go. I ate a tamale instead of burger. Jeez, for some reason my aunt is being such a dope these days.
extra large
Thick girls are amazing these days. Sarah at work has a behind like this lady in the gif above. I heard something kinda funny the other day... no one wants to sit on your face. Sadly, it's true, no girl wants to sit on my face. I can think of at least a half dozen ladies I would like to sit on my face. TheDesire. That cute girl from the parks department. The cute tutor that comes into Casa Verdugo library. The aid that goes up to the Montrose library. Marie from treasury. Lisa, the girl from the market, to name a few. I'm sure if I thought about it I could list more. It doesn't matter, none of them are going to sit on my face.

Grimace stacking the books only on one side of the bin
Monday, June, 2, Grimace was complaining about the books I took over to Pacific Park today, pointing out that there were a lot of books in the bin that belong to other locations. Because, weekend crew is trash. There were about eight to ten books that belonged to another branch or to Central. Not good. Well, Grimace isn't any better with the bins. I've said it before, she stacks the books all on one side of the bin. I got out to the van and saw that the overflowing bin was that way because Grimace stacked all the books on one side. There was plenty of room for the books if she would do it right. ARGH!
TheNewCute's old desk is now a dumping ground
While going to use the bathroom at Brand I walked by TheNewCute's old desk. Ever since she left it's become a dumping ground of things. The person that took over her job decided to sit up in the tower. Good idea, since anyone that sat behind circulation gets bugged all the time. TheNewCute would eat her lunch at her desk to get away from the cleaning woman that bugged her. That meant that people had access to her all the time, so she wouldn't get that alone time we all need while working. Now, her desk is just a communal desk.
Ilsa finally got back to me about hanging out tomorrow after my doctor's appointment. Details are light, but I guess we'll figure out more when I get to Claremont.
Cheyenne tonight
On my Monday visit Cheyenne was not feeling well. TheGirl told me that she took her to the vet, because she's been limping. The vet says there isn't anything wrong with Cheyenne. They did take an X-ray to make sure that the cancer hasn't spread to her bones. Now we wait. The vet told TheGirl to up Cheyenne's pain meds. Poor thing. Cheyenne tried greeting me, but she was clearly in pain. Her ears were pinned back when I arrived. I gave her a bunch of kisses, but I made sure not to get too close to her ears. TheGirl mentioned again that arthritis might be the cause of putting Cheyenne down, not the cancer. The tumor did shrink the last time they checked. I thought that meant we would have a good amount of time with her. I just don't want her to decline so quickly, and not to be in pain.
When I got home my aunt brought up the fucking $20 again. I found the twenty in my room under my TV remote. I don't know why she has a bug up her ass about this money. I hate that she keeps pressing about it. When I went to the kitchen she was mumbling something (the usual mumbling) about this and that. I asked her for clarification and she mentioned money and that I should get something to eat with that. Here we go again. I finally just said alright real long and loud. A few minutes later I was eating my dinner and she comes out of her room and asks me if I want the fan on. I don't understand her, because all she does is mumble, but as I look at her I realize what she's asking me. I just gave her a look and turned back around to look at the TV. She said something about leaving me alone. Yes... LEAVE ME ALONE. I'm a grown man who knows how to turn on a fan. I make my own money and I can feed myself. I know that her actions come from me not eating a lot these days. I've come to realize that I don't need huge portions of food. But of course now she thinks I'm sick or don't have the money to buy food. I don't know why these $20 is a hill she wants to die on. The money is currently sitting on my desk.

Talia posing for me in 2004
Tuesday, June, 3, Some pictures of Talia came up on my feed this morning. They are from a day back in 2004 where we hung out at her home on Rial lane in Bel Air. We could not go inside the house, because it was packed with junk. So, we hung out in the patio, where we took some pictures. The above pictures were taking from the backseat of my old Subaru Legacy while Talia was in the front seat posing. I remember that we were in the old SMC parking lot at the Santa Monica airport. It's very possible someone saw her topless. I do miss that version of Talia. Oh well.
doctor's office
I haven't been to a doctor since 2020. That's a long time. My health insurance is paid mostly by the Federal government, and a fraction by the state. Hundreds of dollars are flowing from the Fed and State funds to private health insurance companies, and I'm just sitting at home. The ads finally got to me, and I decided a while back to get a check up and find out if my heart is OK. Because I've been having these bouts where I will wake up in the middle of the night, or like on Sunday, during a midday nap, with my heart pounding and racing.
Well, today was the day of reckoning. The doctor says I might be suffering from hypertension... aka high blood pressure. She didn't say it, but I'm sure it's because I drink like a fish. And I'm not talking about water. Though I drink a lot of water as well. She recommended I buy a blood pressure monitor, which I got from Amazon immediately. They delivered it hours after I ordered it. She wants me to keep a log of my vitals. My official reading for tonight was 145/94. Not good. I'm going online this week and find a bunch of Mediterranean diet books to help me cook up some food for the rest of my life.
I do love booze. If I want to live longer than my mother and father I need to change things. All the things. Living well didn't save them. No matter. I have the power to save myself.
While at the doctor's office I turned on my phone's do not disturb so I wouldn't be bombarded by the actions of my aunt on the security cameras. Normally she doesn't get out of bed until after 11am. BUUUUTT... today she was up early. Typical bullshine from the Algorithm.
Claremont
I drove out to Claremont to hang out with Ilsa. We had lunch at a place called Wolfe's market. The sandwich I ate was just OK. Never again. We should have gone to Claro's instead. Next time. Claremont is quite pretty. Ilsa and I walked around the various campuses of Pomona college. We ended up going to downtown Claremont, which is quaint. I will definitely have to spend more time exploring that town.
I'm certainly not opposed to adopting the Mediterranean diet as my menu of choice. It has good food. Come to find out there's a lot of pasta dishes. Cool. I know I'll adapt to this. And really, in my opinion it's my drinking that's causing this high blood pressure. But, time will tell.
another slideshow from Google photo featuring TheNewCute
The other day I mentioned how Google Photos had a slideshow of pictures featuring TheNewCute. Well, it came up again today. Jeez. Come on, Algorithm. Anyway, I decided to download it and share it here. It does make me miss her, which is something I don't want to do anymore. Because where's that going to get me?

last drunk jack-off last night
Wednesday, June, 4, I can't jack-off while drinking anymore. Because of what I found out about my blood pressure yesterday I have to cut back on my drinking. So jacking-off is OK, but drinking and jacking-off is not. At least I'll have jacking-off. Ha, ha! It's pretty much the thing I look forward to the most. It wasn't until one night a few years ago that I was drinking and decided to jack-off that I started this whole thing. But, it's OK. It still felt great to jack-off while sober last night. Maybe in a way better. Better in a sense that I know I'm not doing myself harm.
wrong again
Books ending up in the wrong bin is just something that's going to happen. We are human beings, and no one is going to be perfect all the time. But, whoever is sorting books on the weekend at Central, is doing a piss poor job. A couple of the branches gave me book back that were meant for other branches, or for Central. And I mean it wasn't just one or two books. As shown above, it was quite a few books. And the above picture is only the first batch I took a picture of. After I took the picture I sorted more books and found about a dozen more books that were in the branches bins marked for Central. This is why I rather sort my own bins on Fridays. The problem is some dummy comes along and destroys all the work I did on Friday. It's quite frustrating.
Cheyenne
TheGirl texted me that Cheyenne was whimpering while TheGirl was feeding her. TheGirl took her to a doggie dentist, and they discovered that Cheyenne has at least one bum tooth. It looks like the earliest appointment for the extraction is Monday. In the meantime Cheyenne will be on pain meds. How many more ailments can afflict this poor dog.
Because of Cheyenne's condition TheGirl thought it best to go out to dinner without her. The pain meds the doctor gave her would not kick in for another hour after I arrived at TheGirl's place. So, it would have made it difficult to deal with Cheyenne. Also, Cheyenne's arthritis looked really bad. The pain meds would help with that, but having to get her in and out of the car would not be easy. So, reluctantly we went to dinner without her. I suggested that we bring something in, but TheGirl just wanted to go out. I understood that.
dinner at Olive Garden with TheGirl
Dinner was OK. The first time we went to Olive Garden the food was actually good. This time it was a little on the bland side. It was hard not having Cheyenne with us, knowing she wasn't feeling well.
Cheyenne as I left TheGirl's place tonight
The good thing is that Cheyenne was better when we returned from dinner. She actually ate her dinner, with a little help from me. There was a point where it looked like she wouldn't eat. But, I took some of her kibble in my hand and fed it to her. After that she took over. We used the meatball we ordered at dinner to give her the antibiotics she needs to take so her tooth doesn't get infected.

text from TheGirl this morning - good news
Thursday, June, 5, I was worried last night about Cheyenne, but this morning TheGirl gave me some good news. To quote TheGirl's text:
Good morning! She had a good night. Slept on the floor, couch and then on her bed. Ate all her bfast without yelping, and took all her pills.
Whew!
It makes me happy to read that text. We have had a year with Cheyenne since her cancer diagnosis. Most of that year has been good, but lately she is looking really thin. I don't know how long any of us have. I didn't tell TheGirl about me possibly having hypertension. I won't until I've been officially diagnosed, because why worry her as she's dealing with Cheyenne.
alone at Casa Verdugo library this morning
My coworker Vivian was out sick today, which meant that I had the library all to myself this morning. There was no storytime today, so I just had to get all the stuff done before 10am. Which was easy, since there were no books in the bookdrops. All I had to really do is the money and the newspapers. I printed out the holds, but there were no Link Plus holds. Still, I figured that Gitmo would show up since I'm in the building by myself. In the olden days, and I know I keep saying that, this was not allowed. Not even supervisors were allowed to be in the buildings alone. As I said, in the olden days. Now, anything goes.
upcoming bookmobile schedule
Jaclyn shared the details of the upcoming bookmobile schedule (see above). I'm so tired of this bookmobile thing. By the looks of it I'm going to be busy with bullshit. The times we go to Maple park are a total waste of resources. I've said it a million times, but no one wants to ever explore any new ideas. They are stuck with their original idea, and they are going to die on that hill. Whatever! I get paid whether I care or not. So why care?
walking around the neighborhood
I went out walking around the neighborhood with a purpose today. I really wanted to get my heart-rate up. I believe that it's my alcohol intake that has caused this high blood pressure. But, me believing it is and it actually being that are two different things. Still, walking is only going to benefit me. I have a treadmill at home, which I haven't used since 2021. Time to get it out of mothballs.

lawn is busted
Friday, June, 6, The lawn out front of the East side of the library has been nothing but a mess. During the 2017 renovation that area was turned from a brick covered area to a grass covered area. No one thought to maybe change the dirt under the bricks. Because, the dirt foundation you have to have for bricks and the one you have for grass are different. You want something that's going to support the bricks to be harder and take the weight. But grassy areas don't need that kind of foundation. They need drainage. I was told by the guys that made a pilot hole in the area a few years ago that under the dirt in that lawn area is clay. Clay is not made for drainage. And no one in the city thought to tell the construction guys to take that out, back fill it with looser soil and maybe even add some drainage. Yeah, that would take thought.
here we go again with this shit
In the days of float these dummies would artificially move books from one location to another. It was a move to counteract the wrong that was free floating float. And by that I mean float with no direction. There is no floating anymore, but it's still without direction. So the librarians are "redistributing" books around to counteract the bad actions of the system. And it means my back is getting a workout. Fucking idiots.
storytime
Vivian asked me a few weeks ago if I would help her do her storytime at Nimbly park today. I happily said yes. Vivian has missed almost all of this week due to being sick. Gitmo and I talked on Wednesday that he told Vivian to stay home until Monday. I went with that and figured the storytime in the park was cancelled. Then I got a phone call from Vivian this morning, just after 9am, asking if I was still going to help her at her storytime. I explained to her that Gitmo told me she was going to be out until next week, but that I would be happy to help her. I was at Central, which is just a few minutes from Nimbly park. Well, to cut this short, I helped her out sorta as planned. She was able to get through the storytime without losing her voice. She did leave shortly after to convalesce at home.
something is going on at Brand
Shineson posted a video on Teams (our internal work chat) showing a hummingbird flying around Bernadette's nest. When I got to Brand today I checked and I found that pieces of the nest were missing. Could it be Bernadette building another nest somewhere else? Could it be another hummingbird taking pieces of her nest to make her own? If only I spoke hummingbird, then I would know. Guess I'll just keep an eye on this for now.
what is she doing up at 4:30am?
I don't know why my aunt waits until nearly 10pm to come bother me in my room. I need to start closing the door at 9pm, or so, so she won't disturb me. Tonight's BS she wanted to talk to me about was how she said that she heard her sister crying out that she needed help. In English, no less. I saw on the security camera this morning that my aunt was lurking around the living room at four in the morning. Her story is full of holes. Why does she think she can hear my other aunt's words, when she lives in Mexico. Second, why think that it's coming from outside? Third, if she was really worried, why just walk around the living room and then go back to bed? Fourth, it was a dream.
I'm trying not to drink right now, as I write this. She left my room like ten minutes ago and I really want to just erase her stupidity out of my brain right now. Time to jack-off! Ha!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Saturday, June, 7, After my aunt visited me telling me silly stories about hearing things outside, I figured I needed a drink. But, I didn't want to overdo it, so I just had one shot of whiskey. You know, that was actually a good amount. Yes, it's nice to have a couple of shots, but I think I can live with one here and there.
of course this doesn't work either
Today was another bookmobile event. This time we had a double event, with visits to Maple park and Adams mini park. Krishna showed up with two iPads and a Microsoft Surface computer. I should have known that despite it being an improvement the damn thing wouldn't work. Firstly, I couldn't login to the damn thing. An error saying I wasn't able to login to the city's network keep coming up. I tried to get our expert at circulation to see what could be done, but it's hard at a distance. When I got back to Central he tried some tricks, but none of them worked. Oh well. At least they found the Surface, it had been missing for I don't know how long. It's a step in the right direction, but I know it won't be working any time soon. The two iPads are good in that I can potentially use them to sign up people for the Summer reading program. But, I didn't get to use them today. Probably for the best.
bookmobile at Maple park... again
We usually don't have to deal with a lot of people at Maple park, but today we were busy. Krishna got a taste of what it's like using that computer that always fails, because it has that constant pop-up saying there's no printer available. I know that! After the onslaught things quieted down after she left. It's like she brought the crowds and as soon as she left they all left with her. The rest of the time at Maple park was chill.
Pride in the Park event
Then came Adams mini park and Pride in the Park. That went super smooth. Not as busy as I thought we might be, but good. Good interactions with the community. Especially after the fiasco that was Pride two years ago. I think the bookmobile was a good ambassador this time around. All in all a good day for the bookmobile. Still, I wish I had my Saturdays back.

horrible beans
Sunday, June, 8, I decided to have some frijoles with breakfast this morning. Bad move. About two weeks ago my aunt made some bland refried beans. She compounded her mistake by then taking some red sauce she made the previous week. The taste was bad, but I forgot just how bad until this morning when I had the beans again. I didn't eat much of the frijoles. I just couldn't. When I went to the market today I picked up a bag of frijoles.
Lisa looked a lot like this today
I ran into Lisa at the seafood counter while I was at the market. Boy... did she look good. The picture of the model above is the Algorithm showing that it knows what I like. Lisa looked a lot like the picture above. Even had a top like that on. With her nipples showing like that. Gee, I wish she would sit on my face.
Never going to happen.
post wash tote bag
I washed the tote bag that I was given, because I'm of the tradition that something new has to be washed before using. Well, it shrunk. Womp, womp. What a shame.
This past Wednesday, when I visited TheGirl's place, and Cheyenne was in pain... I took Cheyenne in my arms and told her to give me her pain... I don't believe in what many people call a higher power, but at that moment I wished there was such a thing... if only to hear my plea... if only to take Cheyenne's pain from her and give it to me... somehow.

text from TheGirl this morning
Monday, June, 9, Cheyenne was scheduled for her oral surgery today. TheGirl kept me abreast of her status throughout the day. I don't think any dog likes going to the veterinarian's office. Pets know they're going to the doctor, and just like humans they don't like going.
return of the emergency door in circulation?
When I was walking into work I noticed the emergency exit had something in the little hallway. I went inside and found that the wall that made up the hole where the old emergency exit from circulation was taken off. My supervisor mentioned that someone put in a work order to replace the emergency door. I think it's a good idea. There are two exits to the circulation office, but they both go out to the same hallway. If there was an active shooter, or a fire, we would all have to escape through that hallway. Best we have another way out. For my part, knowing that the wall is just drywall I would still plow through. My coworkers not so much.
route bins this morning
I didn't have a lot more books than any other day, but for some reason the route took me to the woodshed today. I was tired at the end of the day, and it's only Monday. I really need that extra day off.
Cheyenne coming back home
I went over to TheGirl's expecting to find Cheyenne at home, but she was still at the vet. TheGirl said she was going to pick her up at 6pm. That's normally when Chan and I are heading out to go home. But, TheGirl asked if I wanted to go and I said yes. I figured she might need some help. Sure enough, I'm glad I went. Cheyenne was still a little wobbly after her oral surgery. She jumped into the car and immediately tried to stand on the center console. She slipped and went down until her legs caught her on the floor of the back seat area. I told TheGirl I would ride with her in the back. Then, when we got back to TheGirl's place I told her that we could use Cheyenne's bed to cushion her exit from the car. That worked out perfectly. We used the same technique to get Cheyenne up the stairs at TheGirl's place. When I left Cheyenne was on her bed, in the living room, passed out.
Cheyenne update
A bit after 9pm TheGirl sent me a text to update me on Cheyenne. She sent the above photo and said:
A little wobbly. Wanted to go outside. Used your technique. Now she's on the couch. Had some cottage cheese. That enticed her to eat some kibble. Yaaay!!
And.. she wanted a treat.
Wonderful.

bandage
Tuesday, June, 10, I visited the doctor last week. Because I ate breakfast I could not have my blood work done, so they had me come back today to draw my blood. Nothing major, I'm not afraid of needles. I didn't plan a Tuesday Adventure this week, since I was getting my blood drawn. I knew that wouldn't take long, but I also was scheduled for a phone counseling session.
Bill's burger
Since I didn't have breakfast I decided to head down to Bill's for a burger. That place never disappoints. Damn good. This time I got my burger with bacon. So yummy.
Travel Town bench
After Bill's I headed over to Travel Town to prepare for my phone call with the counselor. When I got the call the lady asked if I was at home. I wasn't. She tells me that there are certain questions that she needed to ask that were confidential and that I had to be home to answer them. I told her I was at the park. There was no one around me. Guess that's not good enough. This left a bad taste in my mouth. One that made me just say fuck this. I don't think I want to even continue with this, even though I didn't even get started. It felt silly, and I just didn't like how that left me feeling afterwards. I'm not going to answer the phone next week. I'm done. I don't know why they didn't tell me beforehand that I needed to be home to take the call.
Russian MILF
The lady I call Russian MILF came into the library today wearing a short skirt. Boy, does she have great legs.
I must sound like a broken record when I say that every time I try to do things on my iPad I get interrupted by patrons. There were a few times during my shift that were slow. And, I just said, the second I would take out my iPad a patron would walk up to the desk. I wonder what makes a person compelled to come up to me when they see me doing something on my iPad, but when I'm just sitting doing nothing they leave me alone.
Our high tech Central library has a problem with the automated doors opening up randomly, when they are supposed to be locked. Because of this the powers that be have placed a 2x2 stick in the door. Some dummy on the weekend likes to jam the 2x2 super hard so that when I show up the next morning I can't get the stick out without the help of a hammer and a screwdriver. This has happened multiple times. On Monday I couldn't take it anymore, so I hid the damn thing in Circulation. I should have known that these dopes would make a federal case out of it. Syco was texting me asking if I had seen it. Of course I had, but I'm not going to tell her that. Tomorrow, I'll have to put it somewhere where someone can find it but not out in the open.
big soup bowl sitting unused
When I got home there was a soup bowl waiting on the dining room table. It was a big bowl, and there was no way I was going to eat that much soup. But, my aunt expects me to eat a mountain of food. I don't eat that much these days, and especially tonight. I had my supper at 4pm, I wasn't that hungry when I got home. Oh well, she thinks she knows best, but she doesn't know me. After all these years she has no accumulated knowledge of me or anything else.

Wednesday, June, 11, I was talking to Vagabundo last night... and I was drinking. Something I said I wouldn't do on a Tuesday night. Well, staying up late talking and boozing it up made me oversleep this morning. Also, in my mind I forgot that today was Wednesday and not Tuesday or Thursday. I have more time on those days. Either way, I jumped out of bed and determined that I didn't have the time to shower or even eat. Good thing I wasn't hungry. But bad is that I was afraid that I would stink up the joint. Thankfully I wasn't too sweaty. Still, I was self-conscious about it all day.
Because my coworker Tony was out yesterday, today's route was packed.
chicks at Chevy Chase library
On my second trip to the Chevy Chase library I noticed a bit flying out of the lattice work above the entrance. That's when I spotted the nest. The bird was a Towhee, and there were four chicks popping their heads out at one point. How cute.
Cheyenne enjoying her burger patty
Cheyenne was much better this week than last week. She still has a little bit of a limp on her left front foot, but otherwise she's good. At dinner she was super happy and really wanted some table food. I told TheGirl that she should order a hamburger patty for Cheyenne. It worked out great, because she used a little bit to give Cheyenne her meds. Cheyenne was like night and day. She was super jumpy towards the end of dinner, wanting more burger and wanting to walk more.

chill library
Thursday, June, 12, Time flies when you're having fun, is the old saying. But it also flies when you're busy at work. It was busy at work this morning, because we had a few bins of books from Central. When I turned around it was nearly time for lunch. Predictively the rest of the day was bogged down, and time went slow.
my car
The fire chief of the station next to Casa came into the library in the late morning thinking I was Gitmo. He wanted to talk about something, so I told him Gitmo was in the back. Turns out the police were going to use the parking lot at Casa as a staging area. There are apparently ICE agents staying at the Hilton right up the street. Because of that there are protestors outside the hotel. I guess there's supposed to be a rally later. I'm writing this paragraph at just after 4:15pm, so I don't have all the details. But, the chief just walked in again and went to talk to Gitmo. I already moved my car at lunch. I wanted to avoid doing it later. The good thing is that the car is a nice shady place. It should be safe.
Surface computer
I'm trying to get the Surface computer they gave me to connect to Sierra and to the VPN, but I've only been successful in connecting to Sierra. And that's only when I'm at the library. When I was at home last night the desktop version of Sierra would not connect. Raffy thinks that because I'm not full time that is why my login doesn't allow me to connect to the VPN. I'm sure they can make allowances.
Overall the computer is nice. I like the kickstand that allows for many viewing angles. It's good, because I don't want someone over my shoulder reading what I'm writing. I thought about buying a Surface a while back, but I didn't. I think I need to get a better keyboard and touchpad for my iPad. I think that would help make that experience more like my experience with the Surface.
walkway at the Sherman Oaks Galleria
Ilsa sent me a video from Instagram that was joy. This guy was a teen in the 80s. He had a video camera, and went around the Valley recording stuff. In the video Ilsa sent me he recorded his visit to the old Sherman Oaks Galleria. Magic! If I could travel back in time I would want to travel to that period of time to have a yummy hamburger from the Orange Julius. Oh, and the chocolate moose from the New York deli. Oh, oh, and the enchilada from Mexican Dan's. So many memories.

the sidewalk has been fixed
Friday, June, 13, The sidewalk in front of the Louise entrance to the library was cracked during the last renovation. One of the heavy equipment they used was so heavy it cracked the sidewalk. It's been like that for months, and it's a hazard. So many people in wheelchairs go by that area due to the fact that they are going to the senior center next door. Someone must have said something, because it's now repaired. I drove on Wednesday and the sidewalk was still a mess. I asked one of the garden maintenance guys if he saw them repair the sidewalk on Thursday and he said yes. Confirmed, not that it was a great mystery. Well good, that sidewalk was truly a hazard and a pain.
Krishna has known about the issues with the bookmobile accounts, but apparently hasn't even lifted a finger to address them. I say that because of what happened today. There was a moment where I was upstairs and the technology guy, Michael, was in admin talking to the director and another coworker. We ended up talking about all this ICE agency stuff, because we wonder if some people from ICE will try to come to the library. After the conversation broke up I talked to Micheal about the problems I've been having with the computer for the bookmobile. The account, not just the computer. I specifically asked him about the VPN privileges, and also mentioned the no printer pop-up. He told me to email the help desk and to CC him for VPN access. I also asked him about the annoying pop-up, and he told me to email Robert about it. He's the guy in charge of Sierra, the program we use to check books out. After I sent the two emails I went on my merry way to deliver the books to the various branches. I went to City Hall, filled the van with gasoline and then went to get the interdepartmental mail. My first stop today was Chevy Chase. Half way up there I get a Teams message from one of the IT guys. It was in response to my VPN request. I couldn't answer him until I got to Chevy, but once there he quickly resolved the problem. Boom, I had access to the VPN on the Surface computer. A little while later I get an email from Robert telling me that he made the changes to the bookmobile account on Sierra, and that should resolve the pop-up issue. I was on my way to Grandview when I got Robert's email. Sure enough, I checked when I got there and the pop-up was gone. Mission accomplished.
After MONTHS of frustration with the bookmobile login, the pop-ups, and having to use the web version of Sierra, two of the major issues were resolved in a few hours. The question must be asked, what the fuck was Krishna doing wrong that she couldn't get this done in months? I talked to Misa about it and she mentioned that it's 100% a probability that Krishna never emailed anyone about the pop-up issue. The VPN was just something that I wanted for the last two weeks, because I thought that would solve the issue of us logging into Sierra from a WiFi hotspot in the park. She didn't even know about that issue, but the pop-up issue she's known for months. I told her when I first started working the bookmobile about the problem. During the last event she gave me a break and had to deal with it first hand. Yet, I think Misa is right... Krishna didn't do anything about it. Fuck. As always, I have to take the initiative if I want to get anything done right.
I hadn't seen Emma at work for a while. I wasn't sure if she was on vacation or something. That is, until today. It turned out that she was out because she had an ectopic pregnancy. She had to have emergency surgery, and that's why she's been out. Wow! She's back, and now I know she's trying to get pregnant. I hope this doesn't lessen her chances at successfully getting pregnant in the future.

Abigail at Pollo Loco
Saturday, June, 14, I finally got a picture of Abigail from my local Pollo Loco. She kinda reminded me of TheNewCute today. She has many of the qualities TheNewCute had. She's about the same size, and today I got to check out Abigail's butt, and it's really nice. I'm 100% sure the workmen that come into that Pollo Loco all have crushes on her.
Ragtime Festival at the Old Town Music Hall
I went to the Old Time Music Hall during Christmas, and I had a great time. Today I returned to listen to some ragtime music. It was good times. Can't wait for the next event.
looks good, but how does it taste?
The last time I went to the Old Town Music Hall I passed by a pizza joint called Slice and Pint. The great smell made me pause. I told myself that the next time I was in El Segundo I would buy a pizza. Today was the day. Well, what can I say? The pizza was just meh. I was starving, which is why I ate three slices. Sadly the pizza was nearly tasteless. As I think about it now, I didn't get that great aroma when I went today. Hmmm.

Instagram search suggestions
Sunday, June, 15, They say that the Algorithm knows everything about you, because it knows what you search for and what you view. Supposedly the profile some social media create can even tell if you're gay before you've even come out to your family. In my case it's not being gay that's the knowledge, it's that I like ladies with big butts (see above). The suggestions I get every time I search are majority ladies with big butts. There seems to be no shortage of ladies with big butts. Not just big though. They're not sloppy, they're shapely. I like to say they are big butt nice.

leftover balloons from Saturday event
Monday, June, 16, There was an author event on Saturday. They had balloons as a backdrop for the book signing portion of the event. The balloons were placed for a photo opportunity, but they were in the way for practical uses in the teen room this morning. So the lady in charge of Social Media asked if I could help her move them. Well, she disappeared, so I ended up moving the balloons by myself.
Just before heading out Mala asked me if I could cover the front desk from 3pm to 4pm this afternoon, because they were short staffed. Good move by the city to ask a bunch of part time employees to self-separate from the city last year. If only they had those people as resources for times like today. Three people called out sick today. THREE! The good thing is that there was less than the new normal amount of books going out to the branches.
I had to finish up the route fast in order to get back to Central and man the desk for an hour. What an hour it was. Never a dull moment. I helped people print, and even made a new card for a really cute lady. One little incident happened when one of the new regulars I don't know at all came up to me complaining about his print job not showing up in the queue. I told him I could print it from the computer, but he got a little made and insisted I go with him to the print release computer. OK, what do I care? I was slowing down when he saw that and told me he wanted me to go to at the computer he was using. I had zero dogs in this fight, so I went and watched him send the print job to the queue. As he logged into that print release computer I told him that sometimes the queue takes a few moments to load. Sure enough, when the login process finished there were two print jobs waiting for him. As I left him I told him to be more patient. Dummy.
they're working on the doors for the first time in months
The repairmen were working on the front doors for the first time in months. From the looks of it they were replacing the mechanism. I guess we'll see if the doors stand up to the grinding. The only solution is taking out the entire thing and rebuilding the doors so that they are not misaligned. But what am I saying? The city will only totally repair this correctly when the thing totally breaks.
Cheyenne waiting for TheGirl to come out of her bedroom
Cheyenne was walking around better tonight, but she is still limping a bit. TheGirl said that Cheyenne has an appointment with a doggie masseuse. She hopes that will help her feel better. Fingers crossed.
My aunt has changed her sleep/wake pattern. The other day she was saying how sleepy she was, and it was at 5pm. That's because she sleeps a lot during the day, and less at night. The thing I hate is that her new pattern change means that she overlaps with my schedule in both the morning and the evenings. I don't spend a lot of my waking hours at home, because I'm at work most of the day. So it's nice when I come home and she's already in bed, and she leaves me alone.
two views of Amy Amor
Marie was looking so good, and abundant, today. Of course the Algorithm likes to mock me. Last night there was a porn star, Amy Amor, that kinda looks like what I imagine Marie looks like naked. If only I could see that in real life.

Tuesday, June, 17, Since I have Juneteenth (Thursday) off I went into work early this morning. No Tuesday adventure this week and next. But, I will have Thursday off. I have a decision to make. I can go to the Santa Ana zoo, or go to the Academy museum. The next few months I'll have to work some Tuesday bookmobile events, which means fewer Tuesday adventures for the next couple of months. That's OK, since I have run through most of the places that are not closed on Tuesdays.
I mentioned last week that a counselor called me, but the appointment ended up being a non-starter because I wasn't at work. Well, this week I couldn't answer the call because I was working. I told the lady yesterday that I would have to reschedule. Which is true... I just won't ever reschedule. I'll deal with the problem like I always do... by myself.
My shift at Casa was mostly chill with moments of being super busy. Like when families came in to sign up for the summer reading thing. Twice today we had families that wanted library cards and to sign up for summer reading. Mary and I handled it though. She's come a long way. She still needs a little bit more seasoning when it comes to certain questions. She needs to streamline her reference interview technique.
My coworker Tony has been wearing a hat since last week. Today Kerri asked him what was the deal with the hat. This is after I told her that he was wearing the hat to cover something up. I thought it was him thinking that he was losing his hair. A couple of years ago he mentioned going in for some treatment, because he saw that his hair was thinning. Turned out that he hit his head on something, I don't remember what, and he had a scar on his forehead. Hmmm.

front door at Central
Wednesday, June, 18, I was told that both of the northern doors were working now. So, I opened up the two sets of doors. The West side doors, which haven't worked for nearly a year, moved super slow. I kept both the inside doors on always open mode. I did that because both inner doors move super slow.
I've made up my mind to own this bookmobile job. It's my job, even if I didn't want it. I might as well enjoy the work. Having a working computer has made the job that much easier to deal with.
Working the bookmobile means working closer with Krishna. Her boobs looked really big today. She was wearing one of those nylon tops that hug the body. Es bueno. Some time last year she wore something semi-low cut and I was surprised at the size of her chest. I always wonder how the ladies I work with look naked. Stephanie is another one that I think must look great naked.
Mary, the library's social worker, told me that the Maker Space manager, Edit, is leaving for Altadena. I wonder how she got that job? I guess she was close with AD. Mary said Edit's last day is the end of the first week in July. I wonder who they will get for the Maker Space now. Hiring freeze be damned, they are going to say that they need someone there. Yeah, sure.

Jaws booze?
I stopped by Vons before heading to ThrGirl's when I saw a display for Jaws wine. It's the 50th anniversary of the release of the movie, so I guess it's wine time. I wonder if it's any good.
Cheyenne
Going to Don Cuco's in Toluca Lake can be hit or miss. Tonight it was a miss. Not the food, but the service. And not just by our waiter, though he was the main problem. There's this one waiter named Mario that always takes too long to take our drink order. Tonight he came over quickly, but we didn't get menus. There was one time he took nearly half an hour to get our order in. Tonight he didn't take that long, but it was more like fifteen minutes before he asked us what we wanted. And we didn't ever get our menus. Then one of the bus staff nearly stepped on Cheyenne. Cheyenne is not well. Her legs are still a bit shaky, so it's not a good idea for anyone to be bumping into her. Finally, we have often asked to share a margarita. We asked him to do that tonight, and he brings it to us in one glass. We can be accommodating, but this was just silly because we specifically told him. He didn't seem happy to take it back. He knows us. We almost always do this, and yet he can't remember? Come on

Thursday, June, 19, As previously stated, I like to drink a little extra when I get back home from Wednesday dinner with the ladies. But of course my aunt has to ruin it by lurking around, and monopolizing the bathroom. She's usually in bed for good when I come back home on Wednesday night. Not last night. Fuck this shit. Thanks Algorithm.
Academy Museum
Because it's Juneteenth I got the day off. But I wasn't going to tell my aunt that. I wrote her a note on the whiteboard I have on the fridge that I was coming home at 3pm. For my Tuesday Adventure on a Thursday this week I took myself to the Academy Museum on Wilshire and La Brea.
Gallant Pioneers memorial fountain
My phone GPS wanted me to take the 10 freeway to the museum. But, I left with a lot of time before the museum opened, so I figured I would drive down Wilshire to kill some time. On my way to the museum I went past Beverly Hills. I thought that perhaps I could walk around there, since I haven't in a million years. Parking at LACMA is $21, so I figured instead of going to Beverly Hills and paying more I would just leave the car at LACMA and take the bus to Beverly Hills. My transit app was confusing, because it was saying that there was a bus arriving in one minute, but I didn't see it. Also, because of the subway construction the bus stop was up on the next block. OK, I could walk there, I thought to myself. When I started walking on Wilshire I looked down one of the streets and I could see some nice houses. That's when I thought I could just walk around this neighborhood, and check it out. Thus began my three and a half mile walk around the Fairfax district. I first went down Wilshire to San Vicente. Then I walked back East on Wilshire until I got to a street named McCarthy Vista. From there I walked all over, reaching Little Ethiopia at one point. Then I thought about walking back to the museum to take the shuttle to the Farmer's Market. But my app was confusing again. At first it said that the DASH shuttle was a few minutes away. Then it said it was fifteen minutes away. I decided to walk, since it would take me the same amount of time, but this way I could get my steps in.
I wanted to go to the Farmer's market to get something to drink, but all I could find was soda. I finally went into a market, but they also had a lot of sugary drinks, so I just went with a Hawaiian Punch. It hit the spot, and I walked back to my car at LACMA. Then I drove home and chilled the rest of the day.
Carmel way
On my long walk I found a sign that said Carmel way, but there seemed to be no intersection. To my left I could only see the street running east to west. The only other thing was what looked like a walkway. So i guess this little walkway is Carmel way. How funny.

a morning dove, because it was on my fence this morning
Friday, June, 20, I was leaving for work when I put my key in the lock and found that there was no resistance. That means it was unlocked since last night. I ALWAYS check the lock before going to bed, so it must have been my aunt. But, I didn't see her on the security camera. Could I have left it unlocked? I'm so paranoid to leave doors unlocked that I know I check and check again. My aunt has a bad track record for leaving the door unlocked all the time.

thick is nice
A couple of weeks ago I saw a thick girl at Central. She looked like she was there with a special needs person. I got a picture of her today. How is this woman possible? I don't remember women being like this in the past. Or maybe I just didn't see them on the media. Now thick is a good thing, and my social media is full of pictures of thick girls.
I forgot to mention this before, but my coworker Chuck told me on Monday that he is going to devote more time to the Beverly Hills library now that he was given a promotion there. He's a good guy. Once that bookmobile job went away he is smart to prioritize Beverly Hills.

fucking ear hair
Sunday, June, 22, ARGH! For the last couple of days I've felt that hard hair that comes out of my right earlobe (see above). It finally got long enough for me to pluck. Just look at that thing. It's like no other hair I've seen. Why must this stupid hair keep popping up?
stock footage lady with nice hips
There is a nice looking stock footage lady that appears on the credits to the show Good Day LA. Which I watch religiously for the weather... lady. In the briefest of moments this lady shows up jogging with her "Friends." I think she has really nice hips, and I'm a sucker for a nice pair of hips.

Janine Lindemulder
Monday, June, 23, I told myself after going to the doctor at the beginning of this month that I would make some changes to my life. Eat better. Drink less. Well, I am drinking less, but it's just a tad less. Last night I had three shots of whiskey, which felt good. But this morning I was hurting. Not hungover, just in pain. I must sleep in a bad way when I'm drinking, because I wake up feeling so lousy. And then I was super sleepy after lunch.
I did stay up late jerking it to old videos of Janine Lindemulder. She was so incredible back in the day. So you can see that jerking off while a little tipsy is such an alluring combination.
bad accident on the 405
When I got out the door there was a lot of traffic on Ventura Blvd. I checked my traffic app and it said there was an accident on the 405. Never a good thing. I remember I was in a back-up that lasted over an hour and it was just someone parked on the side of the road. A real accident makes things that much worse. Well, it was worse. I managed to make it to the 101 freeway by going north on Sepulveda instead of south. Which is how I usually get on the 101. Well, the situation was worse for a couple of people, one being a cop. Apparently some idiot hit a police officer that was trying to help. Here is part of the article from the LA Times.
A Los Angeles police sergeant who stopped to help motorists on the 405 Freeway was killed in a multi-vehicle crash early Monday that shut down southbound traffic through the Sepulveda Pass for almost 10 hours, officials said.
LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell identified the sergeant as Shiou Deng, a 26-year veteran of the department who he said was struck by oncoming traffic after attempting to aid in an initial crash.
The article didn't say if they know who hit him, but it's gonna be one of these dopes that are not paying attention while on the road. The incident happened in the night hours, but still. How do you fail to notice the squad car lights flashing? Because not knowing anything I'm pretty sure the officer turned his light bar on. Too many idiots driving around these days.
I was told last week that the Maker Space manager was leaving, but it wasn't until today that it was officially announced. She seems like a nice girl, but I don't know if she was effective at her job. Then again, what do I know about what she did? Nothing.
who ate all the ice cream? not me
I was at the market a couple of weeks ago and I noticed that they had my favorite flavor of Thrifty's ice cream... pineapple coconut. I had to buy it. I had a little taste when I got home. Today I was thinking about how I wanted some ice cream. I went to the container I saw that my aunt had nearly finished the entire thing. I only need a taste... like a few spoons of ice cream and I'm satiated. But she's been chomping away at the tub.
Jamie Maggio
Last night the sports lady on channel nine was looking really nice. She wore a nice skirt that showed off her legs (as seen above). Woo!

park worker parked where I need to park
Tuesday, June, 24, I got to work at Central early, despite there being some traffic on the road. By the time it was 9am I was all set to go to Pacific Park. But that meant I was super early for a 10am start. I would have parked in the spot I was supposed to be parked for the event, but the gardener was parked right there. So, I had to wait until he was finished. Oh well. Next time I won't show up so early.
my arm
Last night I noticed a bunch of mosquito bites on my left forearm. Today I was itchy there and when I looked down I could see a couple of the bites were looking like open sores. I quickly went into the bookmobile to get the first aid kit, in order to put a bandage on those sores. I later added a rubber band to the mix, because my sweaty arm was making the band aid come off. The bites were better by the end of the day.
After lunch I drove the bookmobile to Maple park... again. It feels like Maple park is a waste of our time. I mean, what are we even doing there? No one can tell me what the mission is for the bookmobile. There was a period of time when we got dog piled on by the kids from the day camp. Of course almost all of them didn't have library cards with them, or even accounts. I kept my cool though. They are not paying me enough to care. I even gave away some books, telling the kids a due date, but they were not really checked out. Despite the improvements to the computer there is still a lag. When it got kinda quiet I tried connecting the Surface directly to the hotspot. It seemed to work better, but I'll have to do more testing in the future.
Grace
While at the park I saw a figure of a thin, tall woman with what looked like nice hips. What have I said about how I'm a sucker for a woman with nice hips? Well, it turns out that it's my coworker Jaclyn's sister. She doesn't really look similar to Jaclyn. I don't know, I thought the sister looked really nice. Jaclyn said that she was visiting from New York. Darn, I guess I won't ever see her again.

Wednesday, June, 25, I was talking to my buddy last night, and while doing so I drank a whole bottle of Fess Parker wine. I bought the wine because the market didn't have the kind of whiskey I wanted. Still, I really shouldn't be drinking a whole bottle of anything.
Grimace's abandoned desk
I noticed last week that Grimace's desk was sparse. Not only that, but her special desk chair was nowhere to be found. Well, if you want to find her or the chair they are going to be in the basement. I love how this whole thing went from her being assigned a desk in circulation... but then she made a big stink and they gave her a second desk in the basement. And now she has abandoned her desk in circulation.
the ladies at the Dog Haus in Burbank
TheGirl had mentioned that we should try to go to the Counter restaurant in Studio City, since we miss the one that was in Toluca Lake so much. But, that didn't work out, because it is relatively far. So, we decided to go to the Dog Haus in Toluca Lake. I love the dish that they call the Love Boat, which consists of a bed of tatter tots, then chili and topped off with coleslaw. That combination is so good.
Cheyenne got a burger patty that she was ravenous to eat. She hit her head on the bottom of the table more than once trying to get to the patty. Jeez! Calm down. Cheyenne was so happy. TheGirl and I like to think that she knows that Wednesdays are special days.
After dinner TheGirl took us all to California street, which sits on the eastern border of the Warner Bros studio. It's a small neighborhood that also borders the LA river on the south. This makes for s a super quiet area where there are VERY few cars. TheGirl likes to take Cheyenne there to take her off leash. In the past, when Cheyenne was younger, they would walk further down and Cheyenne would chase after the bunnies in the neighborhood. There are a lot of bunnies down there.
When we got back to TheGirl's place she mentioned that the area where Cheyenne's spleen is was inflamed. I could kinda see it. She would know better than me. She said that she had to send a stool sample to see why Cheyenne is having diarrhea again. I don't know... what I do know if Cheyenne can still pack away the food. After getting back to TheGirl's place she ate more kibble and had some treats.

forgot something
Thursday, June, 26, I usually get my clothes ready for work at least a couple of days before actually going to work. And since I usually come home late on a Wednesday night, I get Thursday's clothes ready on Tuesday night. Well, I got out of the shower and noticed that my underwear was missing. ARGH! Serves me right for not checking last night, or even this morning before I took my clothes to the shower. As things go it's not a terrible thing.
Speaking of my underwear, I need to get some new pairs again. The ones I wore today barely held my balls in place. There was a moment that I could feel I was not getting any ball support from the underwear. I'm wondering if I should go to always wearing what's called a boxer brief. Half of my underwear is brief and half is boxer brief.
left alone on the desk... again
The new normal at Casa is not having coverage for breaks. I shouldn't just say it only happens at Casa, because I know that my other coworkers have the same thing going on at their branches. But today was the second time in about three weeks that one of us had to be on the desk alone while the other took a break. Now, since Casa is slow during the evening hours there hasn't been a problem... yet. Hopefully our luck doesn't run out.
My shift at Casa Verdugo felt extra long today. There was a small rush of people at around 5:30pm, and once they left at 5:39pm there was only one person left in the library. One of our regulars, we call him Mr Lars, usually stays until closing, but he left at 5pm. He forgot his power cord for his computer at home. When he left he said he would probably not come back today.
firemen park like trash
I don't know why the firemen like to park in every other parking spot that isn't dedicated to them. The first parking spot in the parking lot is just for them. So is the second, but it's rare that at least one fireman isn't also parked in a patron spot, or one for the library. Assholes.

new desk dividers
Friday, June, 27, The other day I saw that there were some desk dividers. I wasn't sure why they had those, but today I saw that they had been installed. I later found out that the dividers were installed because Albert requested them. Only he's been gone from Central for six months. I think they look pretty stupid, but what do I know. Right?
I got an email from my cell phone provider saying that my bill was ready. I thought to myself, Didn't I just pay that last week. Well, no. I forgot... again. I don't know why I keep forgetting to pay the phone bills specifically. This year I've forgotten both the cell and the home phone bills. I don't know what to do other than what I already do to remind me.
A couple of weeks ago Mala was in circulation looking for a package. She found it. It was a standing desk. I asked her where the desk was going and she said that it was going on the main desk. Hmm, I thought. What is the deal with that? I figured they would put it on desk three, for a test run. Nope, earlier this week I saw that it was on desk one. So all the library assistants will have to deal with it now. Today I found out that it was installed because of Grimace. Which is funny, because on Wednesday she was on the desk and she told me she didn't like it. She said it stuck out too much. And it does. It's a monstrosity. It's way too big, and the keyboard sticks out.
This problem is rooted in the fact that that main desk is just the right size for nothing. It's too short for any kind of check out process. Whoever designed it was a total asshole. There were examples of desks all over the system that were just the right size. Hell, we have that same problem at Casa. The desk is way to short to check out items if you're standing up. Funny enough, I think the desk at Montrose might be the right height for both standing and sitting. But that's only because it is adjustable, and it got stuck at the right height. The little part of the Adams Square desk is the right height too, but that only covers about a third of the desk. The rest is too tall.
Anyway, I wonder how long that standing desk will be on the main desk, because it looks like even Grimace doesn't like it.
doctored sandwich
This morning my buddy Dane handed me a pastrami sandwich. That was mighty white of him (inside joke). I thought about eating it for lunch, but I already had my lunch all set, so I decided to have it for dinner tonight. I warmed it up in the air fryer. That device does a good job reheating food. I added some greens, and mustard, and boom... doctored sandwich hit the spot. Not going to say it was the greatest sandwich, but it was good.

looks OK, but it was awful
Saturday, June, 28, I knew that I was going to head out to Hollywood sometime around 6pm. So I didn't worry about passing out and taking a short nap before heading out. But, I should have given myself a little more time when it came to getting something to eat. Since I was running short on time I grabbed some McDonald's, because it's close by. No other reason. Well, after today I won't have any reason to return. It's been months since I ate their quarter pounder with cheese. Never again. I should have ordered what I got my aunt, a filet-o-fish. Even though that thing has shrunk to slider size, at least the quality of it hasn't dropped too much. The quarter pounder was just awful. I almost didn't want to eat it, but I feel guilty throwing away food. So I ate it. Each bite was awful. What a disgrace.
no longer a line, just a dog pile
Ilsa got to Hollywood Forever before I did, but they didn't let her into the cemetery. Which meant she had to circle the road and come back at the appointed time. But, of course by that time a whole bunch of other cars had lined up. Since I was on foot I was able to get through a lot of that traffic, and get to the line. Ilsa told me that if I got in to save a spot. Sure. As I was talking to her on the phone all of a sudden I noticed the long line collapse and all the people were just rushing towards the entrance. I was just watching it, but I did get in line close to where I was standing. So I got in fairly quickly. I went in and save us a spot. Eventually Ilsa got a parking spot and walked over to where I was. Whew!
where the line was
The whole line thing was so disorganized. They didn't even scan my ticket, they just looked at it and let me in. I'm not sure what happened, that the line just collapsed and moved forward en masse.
Casablanca
The movie was great. But what do you expect, it's Casablanca. At first I was thinking this was going to be a big mess, but the crowd was super nice and polite.

Sunday, June, 29, I didn't do much today. Just my regular Sunday chores, like getting my groceries for my lunch for the week. The lady at the market complimented how clean my bags are. I told her that I clean them every time I use them. She was saying that she sees so many ratty bags in her line of business. Yeah, I bet. Sad, because that's your food going in those bags. I know people are a slobs.

Monday, June, 30, It was warm today on the route, but not super hot. Thankfully. I got to talk to Stephanie at lunch. She's so adorable. She has a show up in Torrance. I'm going to try and get down there to check out her work.
improptu photoshoot
On my way to the big lawn at Hollywood Forever I noticed a young lady getting her picture taken. I thought how clever it was to do a photoshoot there at that time. Little did I know that it was a professional photographer taking pictures of people that walked by. The young lady in the picture was in line with me, earlier in the night.
Cheyenne
I went over for my Monday visit to TheGirl's place. She got the results of the poop test for Cheyenne. Cheyenne has a parasite, most likely picked up from some dirt. She's on a course of meds, but she's already pooping normally. Which is a good sign.

Wrap-up: I have to say that this was a good month. Nothing spectacular, but good. My Tuesday Adventures continue, and I've been having fun. I went out to Claremont, which is super nice. Got to see Casablanca at Hollywood Forever, and the Academy Museum. All good adventures. Cheyenne had a rough start to the month, but she's recouped. She still has cancer, but she's also still steaming along. She still has a great appetite. All in all this was a good month... not great, but good. Definitely good enough to merit a B- grade.
